Chris Lee: Author and Trainer in Tech Communications

Chris is a communications consultant, copywriter, and trainer with 27 years’ experience in the UK technology industry. Chris is a trained technology journalist, having written for IT Week magazine, which was once a sister publication of Computing, so he brings a journalist’s perspective brand storytelling. Chris has also authored three books.

During his communications career, Chris has worked with some of the biggest names in tech, including Philips, Xerox, Kaspersky, Virgin Media Business, Amadeus, as well as many innovative startups and scaleups. 

Chris has held several senior roles in-agency, including Vice President of Digital at Emanate (Ketchum) and Head of Digital Knowledge and Content Consultant at Grayling.

In his spare time, he runs the football culture podcast and Substack, Outside Write. He is the author of three books on football history and culture:

– Shades of Green: A Journey into Irish Football (2025), which was talkSPORT’s ‘Book of the Week’ in March 2025
